Eliana Christina Joy DeCock

2D picture

This picture is the 3D.
Well, we found out on Thursday.....our baby is healthy, jumpy and a girl!!
Eliana Christina Joy DeCock
The ultrasound technician measured all the parts: the head, the body (looking at the spinal cord and so many other areas. She said everything looked great.

The pictures taken were 2D and 3D. With the 3D pictures, it may look a little like skeletor because at this stage (19 weeks) the baby has very little fat and is of course, still developing. But we tried to see past that at what the baby was doing. We saw her opening her mouth, either to yawn or drink or maybe even to cry (the say that babies even cry inside the womb). And in one picture you can see her fingers up in front of her face, first over one eye and then inbetween the bridge of her nose.

We were so excited with the pictures so we are contemplating getting another 3D ultrasound in about 6 weeks. Then we will be able to see the baby with more fat on her. She will look a lot more like a baby then.

So neat. I've been waiting for more updates. Why didn't they tell you to wait till the baby has more fat of her? Do you have to pay each time?

Oh by the way, thank you for the "American smarties". They are yummy. I'm sure Paul's told you that we call them "Rockets". I'll send some up to you so you can compare.

Lynne,

Actually, the ultrasound tech told us when we were waiting for the ultrasound and we ended up not having to pay for this one because she said they already do a 3D scan at 19 weeks. But if we decide to have one done at 25 weeks (which she said is the right time to see the baby with more fat)then we have to pay for that one.

Mom,
We do have more, even a little movie clip. It took a few days though to upload them because I couldn't figure it out. Paul helped me (thank God for a computer genius in the family) and now they are just waiting to go on the website.

Jen, I'm so glad that you didn't have to pay for that one. With Evan's only ultrasound I didn't get any pictures cause they wanted $50 for 3 pictures. At that time, we thought that was far too expensive but now I wish I had. All I have for his baby book is the date we had the ultrasound but no pic. (*sigh*)

Now I would like you to take a picture of your belly. I'd like to see how very cute you are. How's that sound?
