Back to Normal

Well, now the holiday is officially over. We started back with homeschooling today. There are a couple new things that I am introducing this semester with Samantha: Piano lessons (via an online resource) and daily Dutch lessons.

A friend of mine found a site where the piano instructor will send you the piano lessons through email. You can sign up for the trial first and then if you want to continue, it is only $4.95/mo. I think Sammie should really enjoy it.

The Dutch lessons are from Rosetta Stone, an apparently amazing language software. We had the demo for a while and Sammie learned a lot from that, but now we have the full version so she can really start to learn Dutch before Geert, Inge, Jeremy, Amy and Michael van den Enden come to visit in April.

Why Dutch you say?? Because more people around Sammie speak Dutch than any other language. Once she masters Dutch, I'll probably move her onto Spanish with the high concentration of hispanics in the South. But with knowing Dutch, Samantha can talk with Opa and Oma (which would be cute), talk with her friend Amy and visit family in the Netherlands when she gets older.

In baby news, I am now 8 1/2 months pregnant. Yes, that is my huge belly!! I now measure 39" around!! I am the same around as when I gave birth to Eliana and I still have 6 weeks to go, if I go full term.
My sister, took this picture and then grayed out everything and kept the bow blue. She is so talented. Then Paul made this picture into an invitation for my baby shower. He did a wonderful job, it looks so professional that people think they were ordered, but of course when I mention that Paul did it, they say I should have known. Paul makes all of Sammie's birthday invitations and my friends just love them!!!
The baby shower will be on Sunday. Since this is my third baby, I am only having my closer friends there. So it will probably be only about 10 friends and family members.

The belly picture looks interesting. I love the idea of making parts of a picture void of color and highlighting certain objects. I would have put color on your belly if it were me - more lively. It may look a better on an invitation. Oh what do I know.

YOU GOTTA FRAME THAT!! Gorgeous! I love just the color on the bow...very 'hip'...or err...'belly' in this case.
