Cleaning like a mad woman

Okay, why is it that a week before we have company, I clean like the queen is coming?
You should see me...I look like a wreck; cleaning baseboards, scrubbing every stain on the carpet (that's been there for 6 months), folding towels like my guest is staying at the Hyatt, making sure there is not 1 hair on his sheets, etc.
Am I a fanatic?

Then I had to go and find that magic eraser. Have you heard of it? It claims to get off crayon, scuffs, anything you or your knee bitter could have splattered on the wall 5 years ago. I spent hours scrubbing. I was in clean-up heaven!! There were marks on the wall that the people who lived in our house 20 years ago couldn't get up; and there I was, scrubbing my fingers raw.

I know why I do it....because I think people staying with me will think I'm perfect. Well, for those of you who don't know me, I'm a slob!!

This is so much fun, writing things I wouldn't normally say, because after all, no one can see me writing it.

Okay, maybe this is dangerous.

Like I told you before, you only clean your house when your Mother-in-law comes over. That's me, that
way, I don't have to do it when I come over for a vacation.

Don't believe her people, she is a great house keeper, and a great wife to my son and the best Mommie for my granddaughter.

Love you sweet, always, and miss you!

Hey...who's coming to visit you???

(by the way, don't forget to fold the toilet paper into a neat triangular point - that's a nice 'hotely' touch!) hee hee

Hi Jennifer, I popped in through Elaine's blog. I am also a friend of Lynne and Yvonnes. I love your blog design, it's so muted and feminine.

Blessings, from a kindred slob.

Hey.....nothing wrong with us "Slobs".

However, I prefer the term "SLACKER". It has a pretty ring to it, don't you think?

Darlene,
My beautiful site is thanks to my sister-in-law, Yvonne. She is amazing with this kind of stuff. She is very creative and when she asked me what kind of site I would like (after a little thought) all I could think of was nature, like a tree. I have never been the most creative but I'm surrounded by creative people. Yvonne found the picture of a dogwood tree, which is my state tree so it was perfect. I love my Canadian family!

We have those Mr. Clean erasers too. Ron actually wanted it for something . . . now what was it? . . . oh, I don't know but nonetheless we have them. I clean like a crazy woman too when we have guests. Although once I'm done it still doesn't look like I've done anything. But I'm lucky, Ron always compliments me when I've even cleaned up even just a little (he can just tell).
